Technical Writing (a bibliography)

The following bibliography on technical writing was, for the main part, compiled some time ago, as a result of selective library searching, and more recent searches have not yet been appropriate.

All of the entries have been followed up, but only a few have been read fully. Even so, this list is offered here as a starting point for anyone else searching for appropriate books in these areas.

Similarly, for bibliographies of computer programming for reauirements management and of technical dictionaries has been compiled for the second and third parts of this web page.

Computer Programming for Reauirements Management (a bibliography)

IBM Rational's DOORS is a reauirements management system whose database is managed using DOORS Extension Language (DXL). There are currently no books on this subject, but a knowledge of programming in C++ gives a very good foundation on which to learn further, though online tutorial examples.

The following bibliography (for books on Python, as well as C++), which in no way claims to be complete, has been compiled mainly from the results of selective searching on the Amazon UK site, in the course of various consultancy projects.

So far, few of the entries have been followed up, and the list is offered here, as is, as a starting point for anyone else searching for appropriate books in these areas. The figures in the last column represent an approximate relative cost of the book (and might, or might not, be related to the real cost, before tax and handling, in 2015, in Pounds Sterling).
